• "Company", "we", "us", "our": Struan Window Cleaning Ltd
• "Client", "you", "your": The person, company, or organization engaging our services
• "Services": Commercial cleaning services including window cleaning, rope access, DOFF cleaning, jet washing, gutter cleaning, and related services
• "Contract": The agreement between the Company and the Client for provision of Services
• "Quote": A written estimate of costs provided by the Company

We provide the following commercial cleaning services:

• Commercial window cleaning (water-fed pole, MEWP, rope access)
• IRATA-certified rope access services
• DOFF steam cleaning and heritage building cleaning
• High-pressure jet washing
• Gutter cleaning and Skyvacs services
• Graffiti removal
• Related external cleaning services

All services are provided in accordance with current UK health & safety legislation and industry best practices.

• All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
• Quotations are based on information provided by the Client and may be subject to site survey
• Acceptance of a quotation constitutes a binding contract
• Quotations exclude VAT unless stated otherwise
• We reserve the right to amend quotations if site conditions differ materially from information provided

One-Off Projects:

• Payment due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed
• For projects over £5,000, a 25% deposit may be required

Contract Cleaning:

• Monthly invoicing in arrears for regular contract work
• Payment terms as agreed in contract (typically 30 days)

Late Payment:

• Interest charged on overdue accounts at 8% above Bank of England base rate (Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998)
• We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts more than 60 days overdue

The Client is responsible for:

• Providing safe and unobstructed access to work areas
• Informing us of any site hazards, asbestos, or special access requirements
• Providing mains water and electricity connections where required
• Obtaining necessary permissions for rope access anchor points or MEWP positioning
• Securing or removing fragile items near work areas

We reserve the right to suspend or reschedule work if site conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

• All work is conducted in compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM Regulations 2015
• Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) provided upon request
• We maintain IRATA Full Member status for rope access work
• SafeContractor approved with annual H&S audits
• All staff trained and competent for their assigned tasks

Our Insurance:

• Employer's Liability: £10,000,000
• Public Liability: £10,000,000
• Products Liability: £5,000,000
• Professional Indemnity: £2,000,000

Limitation of Liability:

• Our liability is limited to the value of the contract or £10,000,000 (whichever is lower)
• We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing defects, wear and tear, or unsuitable materials
• Claims must be notified within 7 days of the alleged incident
• We accept no liability for consequential or indirect losses

By Client:

• Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: 100% cancellation fee
• Contract cleaning: 30 days written notice required

By Company:

• We may postpone work due to adverse weather affecting safety (high winds, ice, heavy rain)
• We may cancel or suspend for unsafe site conditions
• No liability for delays beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

We reserve the right to postpone or suspend work due to weather conditions that pose a safety risk, including:

• High winds (above safe working limits for rope access or MEWP)
• Heavy rain, ice, or snow affecting safe working at height
• Poor visibility or extreme temperatures

Rescheduling due to weather will be at no additional cost. We are not liable for any consequential losses due to weather delays.

We are committed to customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with our services:

• We will investigate and respond within 14 days
• Where defects are confirmed, we will re-clean at no additional cost
• Complaints about billing or invoicing will be resolved within 30 days

All method statements, risk assessments, quotations, and other documentation remain the intellectual property of Struan Window Cleaning Ltd and may not be reproduced or shared without permission.

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of amended terms.
